Message from our Principal

I look forward to welcoming you and your family into the Waimea Heights School community. We are a Kindergarten – Year 6 school of around 390 students in Hobart, Tasmania. Our community and the way we learn and work is underpinned by a set of strong school values:

Developing our students as active global citizens is our school’s vision/goal. By ensuring they approach their future with a problem solving, ‘can do’ mindset we believe they will strive to make a difference in their own lives and those of others.

Set on a magnificent and expansive campus bordered by the River Derwent, McAulay’s Bush Reserve and overlooked by kunanyi (Mt Wellington), Waimea is a dynamic environment for inspirational learning in which our students learn and thrive. Their wellbeing and educational journey is supported by experienced and supportive teachers and staff.
