Future Problem Solving

Future Problem Solving is an international program that teaches problem solving strategies, teamwork, critical & creative thinking, and effective communication. All Year 5 and 6 students in Waimea are taught this six-step problem solving process, where students work in teams to identify problems, design futuristic solutions and communicate their thinking. Selected students then enter the national Future Problem Solving competition, where Waimea has a long tradition of success.
