Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)

At Waimea, we teach Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) using the Australian Curriculum. We employ a 2 year scope and sequence model while teaching HASS to allow students access to each year’s curriculum learning areas; this works in conjunction with our composite classroom system.

Students have access to a variety of learning oppotunities under the HASS banner to explore concepts such as change, perspectives, place, time and celebrations.
